Liburdi GAPCO & BWXT - Teaming Agreement

Liburdi Dimetrics and BWXT Canada Sign Teaming Agreement to Support Nuclear New Builds and Refurbishment Projects
HAMILTON, Ontario – Feb. 19, 2026 – Liburdi Dimetrics Corporation announced today that its specialty welding services division, Liburdi GAPCO, has entered into ateaming agreement with BWXT Canada Ltd., a subsidiary of BWX Technologies, Inc. The agreement is intended to support business growth and market expansion for both organizations across the Canadian and U.S. nuclear energy markets.

Through this collaboration, Liburdi GAPCO and BWXT will combine their complementary capabilities in advanced welding technologies, nuclear component installation, and field execution. As the nuclear industry accelerates investment in new nuclear builds, life-extension programs, and advanced reactor designs that involve unique materials and increasingly complex geometries, the combined team is positioned to deliver integrated, specialty welding and installation solutions to both new and operating nuclear facilities.

Liburdi brings decades of experience in the development and deployment of advanced welding equipment, processes, and specialty tooling tailored to complex nuclear applications. While Liburdi Dimetrics equipment business unit is not a party to this teaming agreement, Liburdi GAPCO’s field operations are executed using Liburdi Dimetrics designed welding equipment and technologies. This ensures that all services delivered under the agreement leverage proven, in-house developed mechanized and orbital welding systems purpose-built for high-consequence nuclear applications.

“This agreement aligns two organizations with deeply complementary strengths,” said Rob Pistor, President and Chief Technology Officer of Liburdi GAPCO. “By combining BWXT’s proven nuclear project delivery and manufacturing capabilities with Liburdi’s advanced welding technologies and specialty field services, we are creating a highly capable platform to support both new reactor construction and critical component replacement programs. Welding excellence is foundational to nuclear safety and performance, and this collaboration strengthens our ability to meet the growing demand across Canada and the United States.”

Under the teaming agreement, customers benefit from a more integrated approach to nuclear component installation and modification, leveraging advanced mechanized and automated welding technologies alongside experienced nuclear field execution teams. The collaboration is intended to reduce project risk, improve schedule certainty, and support the evolving technical requirements of next-generation nuclear systems.
